As Managing Director of Acquisitions, Mr. Takala is responsible for management of The Davis Companies investment activities. He serves on the firm's Investment Committee and Senior Management Committee. In addition, Mr. Takala leads the company's acquisition efforts in the Boston and Washington, DC metropolitan areas. Prior to joining The Davis Companies, Mr. Takala served as Vice President, Opportunity Funds, at Behringer Harvard, as Partner and Head of US Acquisitions at Taurus Capital Markets, and as Acquisitions Officer at INVESCO Real Estate. During his career, Mr. Takala has sourced and closed over $1B in acquisitions, executing core and value-added strategies in office, industrial, retail and multi-family. Mr. Takala is a graduate of Owen School of Management, Vanderbilt University (MBA, Finance), and St. Lawrence University (BA).
