Panera Bread will open a new culinary center and offices at 1210 Washington St. in West Newton after signing a 39,000-square-foot lease with landlord Davis Marcus Partners.
Panera joins shoe manufacturer Rockport and Videolink as office tenants in the 90,000-square-foot brick-and-beam office building which is now 100-percent leased.
During Davis Marcus Partners ownership, the property has added new outdoor amenity spaces and renovation of the exterior and parking garage.
Panera plans to design the new Boston support center with a state-of-the-art culinary center, Panera Chief People Officer KJ Payette said in a statement.
Colliers’ John Carroll represented Panera Bread in the lease negotiations with ownership. The Davis Cos. manages the property for the joint venture ownership structure.
