Pittsbrugh, PA The Davis Companies (Davis) today announced that Sisterson & Co. LLP will be moving its headquarters to the Union Trust Building (UTB) at 501 Grant Street, another testament to the bustling community Davis has cultivated at the site. Upon their relocation, Sisterson & Co., a prominent, 98-year-old Pittsburgh-based CPA firm, will join a tenant roster of other top tier firms at the property.
In 2018, a Davis affiliate completed a $100M redevelopment of the iconic structure, making it one of the most dynamic and elegant office environments in Pittsburgh. Home to a diverse array of six different restaurant offerings, the ground floor features live music, fine dining, breakfast and brunch destinations as well as a variety of on-the-go options. Along with the vibrancy of the building’s office and retail tenancy, a design approach to the interior arcade and its signature 11-story central atrium that celebrates the building’s architectural history while embracing its modern reimagining have served to establish UTB as both a key downtown destination and one of the most unique mixed-use buildings in the city.
“We are honored to welcome Sisterson to the UTB community. We understand that attracting talent and maintaining company culture are top priorities for office tenants and believe that UTB offers a truly distinctive, employee-focused experience,” said Jonathan Davis, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Davis. “The building’s market leading amenities and wide range of dining options and gathering spaces were created to support tenant engagement and satisfaction. We are thrilled to welcome Sisterson and to support them on the development of their new headquarters.”
Designed with tenant engagement at the forefront, the Union Trust Building frequently hosts tenant social events, community fairs and other interactive activities. Tenants have access to a 5,200 SF fitness center with a yoga studio, a 370-seat auditorium, a 70-person tiered conference room with 2,100 SF of pre-function space, 145 on-site valet parking spaces with 100 reserved parking spaces and dedicated bike storage. The site’s unique array of ground level food and beverage options include Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House, Ritual House, The Speckled Egg lobby bar, and two fast casual offerings.
Debbie Ogrodnik, Sisterson’s Managing Partner, said the move to UTB reaffirms its commitment to downtown Pittsburgh. “Sisterson has always been a downtown firm. We want to be centrally located and easily accessible for employees and clients.” Ogrodnik noted the symbiotic relationship between the Union Trust Building and Sisterson’s brand. “Our firm is nearing its 100th anniversary. We’re proud of our history and of the firm’s ability to adapt to changes over the years. Relocating to the Union Trust Building – a building rich with Pittsburgh history married with a modern-day work environment – is the perfect place for Sisterson to start its next chapter.”
Davis currently owns, manages and operates the Union Trust Building. Leasing services for this transaction were handled by JLL representatives Jackie Bezek, Jason Stuart and Dan Adamski. Sisterson plans to move into their new space in June 2024 following the completion of a first-class office buildout.
